how to fix code 9

Default how to fix code 9

first off i have dohc zc and i know my timing is good i just check again what else could through a code 9 thanks for any help

either the timing is off or the distributor in the sensor has failed, meaning the whole distributor needs to be replaced

it reads the position of the crankshaft, so if that is off it will throw that code. Does the car run ok?

it runs ok now it was a tooth out but i fixed it but it is still throwing code 9

never had to deal with a code 9, but if jlicrx is on the right track this might help. the link shows you how to properly wire the dist and ex cmp sensor
