Default 196whp... i want more

100% bone stock jdm itr 98spec block
100% bone stock jdm itr 98spec head port
3" custom length sri intake with bpi vstack
rocket m22x camshafts (-5, +5)
performer X intake manifold (port matched runners to head and tb opening)
75->68mm throttle body (tapered from 75mm to 68mm, port matched to IM)
smsp custom 4-2-1 stage 2 header 2.5" collector
2.5 full mandrel bent exhaust
stock injectors running at 60psi
walbro 255lhp fuel pump

now, im looking to get rid of that "plateau" on my graph. any suggestions? will a different set of cams get rid of it?

edit: i have 440s available when needed... tuner said the stock injectors are fine...

Do you want more power, or do you want to be quicker? Adding some 310/370's wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Where do you have the v-tec set at ?

I just dynoed a completely stock type-R motor with a Hytech Replica header and Hondata S300 and I got 209hp. Do you have a Victor X manifold that you can try ? We dynoed 240hp with that manifold on an 81mm bore GSR.

What are you using to tune the motor with? This can make all the difference in the world.

Chart says Neptune on it, so I'm assuming? Also looks like Jeff Evans was the one who tuned it, so you can bet the bank it's on the $$. I wondering what the injector d/c was at, 60 psi on stock has GOT to be holding some power back. Sending the head to CC/DonF/Portflow/RLZ will improve your #'s, or you could add a 4.9 FD/ MF gear set and probably make a bigger diff than if your were to "make" 201.

*After re-reading your post/edit, there is no way Jeff Evans would have spread these cams that much*

yep, jeff evans was the one who tuned the motor to (-5, +5) cam gears. thats where the motor made the most power. jeff also stated that theres no sign of valve tap present.

how will bigger injectors make more power? the afr stays around 13 throughout the powerband, so im assuming the motor is getting enough fuel.

i dont really want to get into any port jobs as of now.

yes, sms designed the header according to the parts i sent him.

would bc4 or skunk2 cams cure that dip???

Put some Pro1/S2S2/Jun3's in it and share your results with us. I don't believe thats the answer to your "problems," but I do believe thats what you want to hear.

Looks like if you rev it a bit more it will make 200hp,but Clean Rice is right those cam timing numbers are way off for M22x cams somthing is not right.

I tuned this car awhile ago. The car came in with the cam gear settings really weird from another tuning shop. I put them back to 0,0 and lost a ton of power. I made a ton of pulls going in small increments in both directions with the cams, and ended up with them at something unusual (i dont remember if its was +5, -5). I rarely, if ever, tune with Rocket cams. I have really no experience in where the centerlines of the cams should be set, so it was just a guess and used the dyno to tell me where they were making the most power. I usually tune with skunk2 pro series cams, and know about where they need to be at when tuning.

Sorry Clean rice, The graph doesn't come up on my screen. I've got no way of knowing how it was tuned unless it was listed.

yep...but unless you made those numbers on the same dyno as the op, you really can't compare.

Same type of dyno or same exact dyno? And actually, to reiterate, I was on Chris Whitfields dynojet which is known to read a substantial 5-10whp lower than everyone elses.
