60 Grit Paper for the entire car????!!!
I live in WA state and today at LDI paint in Tacoma the salesperson sold me 80 grit paper for a DA to sand down the entire car. Not really thinking about it I bought 5. He also said that it isn't necessary to block sand the car prior to base coat and a DA with 400 grit would be good enough.
Doesn't this sound crazy???? isn't the 80 grit just to take down the paint around the door dings?

Use 80 grit to remove paint and to initially sand filler.
Sand with 220 after or 180 to feather edge the filler or sanding spots. This will take the 80 grit scratches out.
Shoot 2k over those spots, usually 2-3 coats. Block the spots, then reprime again.
I usually block the whole car if I'm doing something that I care about.

Should I use the 80grit on the entire car or just the spots that need the filler? eg. all the door dings?
