Default Hood Bra Question...

To anyone who has a "hood bra":

My friend has a 1999 Honda Accord LX 4-door and is looking for a hood bra. I was wondering if any of you have one. Would it be best to check out the dealerships? I tried a search but couldn't find any matches. I figured that I'd check here first since maybe one or more of you had good experiences with other bra brands. Thanks very much...

Tell him not to get one cause it will ruin the paint unless you take it off everytime it rains. Besides there kinda out of style now too.

the build up of moisture can leave a cloudy appearance in your clearcoat. however a bra will save your paint for those long trips. especially in the midwest with acid bug syndrome. if you drive a lot on highways and what not a bra is a must.

True I have a half mask, but I only use it on long road trips. Which for me is never.

Bra's ruin paint. If you never plan on taking off the Bra then go for it, they look ok on some cars, but the highway only idea is a good one, rock chips suck.

I know they ruin paint. I had one on a ford escort back in highschool. Left the bra on for a few months and the paint was scratched from grit that gets under and also the paint on your car will naturally fade. The bra part will not and it will leave a line.

I would never ever use one of those again. I'm saving for a 3M clear bra. cost @ 350-400 installed.
