STOP!!!!!!!!!!!
hey guys, alright so the topic today, is brakes.
im going to be running a b18c1 turbo honda crx, and as you all know crx's dont have ABS, and there stock brakes are junk.
i bought the Si rear disc conversion kit from hmotorsonline.com
now i want to know, what is the best setup, money isnt to big of a problem, i want the best brakes on the market, i dont want to be shaking like a banshee, or skidding like your underwear.
what would be the best rotors/calipers and pads and pad shoes to use?
remember my car is going to be mainly garaged and used for track purposes, with the occasional friday night pull out.
if you guys would post information on your setup that would be great

he has a point.. the front brakes do a large majority of the energy dissipation in stopping your car, so the larger your front rotors are, the better you will stop, pretty much as a rule. a simple (but harder to find) upgrade would be to upgrade to EX 4-door front knuckles because the rotors are a bit bigger on those cars. That is an upgrade that is fairly cheap and won't jack up your suspension geometry.
You also may investigate the offerings of any of the aftermarket brake companies kits if you've got big money to spend.
Me personnaly? i run Brembo blanks and Hawk HPS pads on my street car, and i don't have issues with fade or anything. Hell, just changing your brake fluid will probably give you more pedal than you expect.

alright thanks guys.
i see what your saying, i know front brakes are about 70% power and back are like 30%
i was just wondering what setups you guys ran.
big brake kit is good, im going to invest into this, i was also wondering what racing rotors and pads were out there.
i also was looking at brembo on hawk pads.
i guess my theory was correct.
thanks xD

For big front brakes read the BIG BRAKES in the faq and save yourself a lot of $$. I run the 11.1" OEM big brakes on the road race courses and have no problems with fade or stopping power.
