Bad Starter?
Alright so when I went to start my car for the 1st time this year it would start, I would turn the key, the dash would like up, I would hear the click, but no crank.
After some inspecting I found that whoever did the wiring used the wrong size connector for the starter (bigger wire in a smaller connector), after tapping it a couple of times the car started right up. So I put on a new connector and for the first few days it started everytime, now whenever it's hot out it takes like 30 key turns then it starts, on cold days she usually will start first try.
I am puzzled... do I have a bad starter? The ignition obviously works because it's registering I am turning the key, and I can here the click from the main relay, just no crank, after turning the key a few times she starts and all is well.
Any ideas?

i am not certain of this, but i think the main relay and starter motor circuits are 2 different circuits on the ignition switch, so if one of those circuits is bad, that might explain it. Just like the main relay, the ignition switch gets hot and sometimes the solder melts and re-melts and starts to crack, and also the contacts in the ignition switch get gummed up over time. My recommendation is to follow the testing procedure to test all the circuits of your ignition switch, and if any of them fail, replace the switch or pop the cap off carefully and clean the contacts inside and resolder the outside with fresh solder.
Second, you may test the main relay to see if it is functioning properly as well, and perform a similar procedure on that, or buy a new one if it tests bad.
the starters in our cars don't have a very tough job normally, so it may be unlikely that it is the problem, but you may inspect the wiring for issues, because a LOT of current flows through the starter wiring.

the solenoid is not drawing enough power, your gonna have to replace the starter, i jsut had the same problem with mine it would start up sometimes but then other times it would take 30 key turns, yo ucan hear the gear push out but its doesnt spin, no power=bad starter. replace it!
