This is something that comes with the car when it's first purchased.. On a card with the owners manual. Sometimes dealers will stick them in inconspicuous places in the car, but not always.. You'll need to pull the radio, get the serial number off of it, take it to the nearest honda or acura dealer, and prove ownership to get the code.

I called the dealer I purchased the car from and was lucky enough to get the code over the phone. Ask the previous owner of the car, or take it in.

Again, you have to get this from a Honda or Acura dealer.. Try this to get the serial number. (Not sure if it will work on the 97 TLs) or not, but hold the 1 and 6 buttons on the radio, turn the switch on, then turn the radio on.. 8 numbers will flash across the screen. This is your serial number. You have to take this to a dealer to get the code to unlock it.

I just pulled my radio out, and from what i read on here the sn should be 8 digits? mine is only 7.. it reads OE 30174.

Is this correct?
