lurches forward after in gear coasting
91 civic hatch, 1.5 std
In a traffic jam and slowly going about 5-20 or so on the freeway. Trying not to brake much, so i coast along sometimes in gear (depending on traffic ahead). When I go to give it a little gas the car will jerk/lurch forward. I have to feather the gas very very gently to get the car smoothly accelerate.
I am thinking this is something to do with the throttle plate sensor and the computer turning the injectors back on?
I have done a complete tune up and replacement of many parts. So a lot of things can be ruled out. new plugs, wires, clutch, air filter, oil change, cap and rotor.
Any ideas?
Over the weekend I sprayed the throttle body down with some cleaner then I dowsed it with deep creep. Got the neighborhood nice and smoky. But haven't gotten a chance to test it out.

I don't know if it's normal but my car reacts the same way. I keep it in second gear when I'm coasting like that to avoid that jerking motion. You only really need to be in first if your accelerating from a stand still
oops. I didnt mention that I am in second. Yes first is only for starting from a dead stop.
Could it be that the new clutch is still seating and the second gear has lots of torque and slipping a bit?.. that would cause the jerky / lurching

mine does that too. i've tested my TPS and according to the results, the TPS should be fine. i'm guessing the problem may have to do with worn out motor/tranny mounts, because it almost feels like as if when you give it gas, the initial torque of the motor deflects these worn out mounts (which have excess play) and once it reaches the deflection limit, the torque gets abruptly transfered to the wheels and thus the jerk. that's why when you feather the throttle, the torque gently gets applied to the mounts and then to the wheels resulting in no jerk. also, mine tend to jerk when i'm accelerating hard and abruptly lift off throttle. i guess the same physics is being applied, but in reverse. i know at least 1 of my mounts are worn from the last time i replaced my clutch, but have not had the chance to change them out yet. don't know if worn out mounts are the actual cause, but logically, it seems to make sense.
Cleaned out iacv, but wasnt dirty.
On the car cleaning of the throttle body didnt help
Ordered energy suspension motor mounts. As mine are soft. These will reinforce them.

Sounds normal to an extent. All manual transmission cars do this. SOunds like the drive line is loaded up and unloading causing it to jerk. Mu car does this too.

replaced iavc caus the idle started going very low.. Helped a lot.. no more 500rpm idling.
Now this week the idle is doing the classic hunting up and down.. Looks like my tps is bad. Infact right around 1500prm it has a really bad spot where it jerks the car around.
Anyone see a tps for a d15b1 engine 1991 stock HB for sale? None of them specify say they are for my engine.
