so i am confused on which is better a sohc d series v-tec head swap or a full dohc zc swap. which is better? i kinda want dohc and v-tec but dont have enough for a b series swap. Please help

 

better for what exactly. better is just an opinion, narrow it down and ull get a better answer.

 

horsepower, torque, bang for the buck. i have a d15b2 in my car now and i purchased a dohc zc that needs a complete rebuild. would it be more wise to rebuild the zc or put new rings in my b2 and put a ohc vtec head on it

 

I blew my timing belt on my dohc zc, so I am gonna get another one. It's the easiest drop in swap without having to worry about wiring(from what I am told).

When I bought my car it came with the zc in there. I am gonna tackle this swap myself. Shouldn't be too hard.

The ZC is a workhorse of a motor(like any D). I also think the zc looks better in the enginebay compared to a sohc.

 

I say the DOHC ZC.

I drive a single cam and a twin cam and I can tell you that the twim cam is one fun motor!
