like the title says. what are benefits from drilled disks? and what else do i need to buy. i have a gsr, i would want to do a big brake conversion but my budget is low. most i will spend is 200 on brakes .. for now
slotted/drilled disk brakes help reduce friction and dissipate heat quicker than conventional rotors.
tirerack.com is pretty reasonable for a budged brake job while still offering tons of perfomance partts. i just finished my brake job on my DA. cost with shipping was like 370 for front disks/pads , and rear disk/pads.
cheers

ooh just read the rest of your post, you will need to buy: depending on the condition of the current parts:
brake disks
pads
lube
brake cleaner
brake lines (steel braided works better for performance cars)
calipers
and bleed your brakes so you will need brake fluid.
