Default NON-honda question ( FORD GURUS PLEASE KICK IN !! )

Okay so My family and I were going to six flags new england to have some fun and you know enjoy the weekend. We took My moms 2003 Ford Windstar. So there was 20 miles left in the trip out of 110. All of the sudden (i was driving) My dad says that the exhaust is shoot out alot of blue smoke so we pull over and the rear windshield is full of oil (from the exhaust). Also we notice ALOT of smoke from the hood, my dad pops it open and i thought it just over heated and so we start it again and it starts fine. But i check the transmission and engine oil leval and the engine is fine ut the transmission is low. So we let it sit for 5 mins and then start it up and i put it into gear, and i accelerate and nothing........ I got it towed back and ****, really pissed off had to wait almost 3 hours on the MASS PIKE.... every exit is 20 miles apart.... ANy one know how much its going to cost? and one know whats wrong? Domestic car gurus KICK IN

Recently in for a transmission fluid service? I would guess you sprung a leak from the cooler lines. Either someone jewed the line, or it blew up. The oil probably dumped all over the catalytic converter, causing the smoke bomb.

That seems to be the most likely problem, its the only way you can dispense so much oil that the car will no longer move. Don't be alarmed by the car not moving, if the torque converter is not completely full, the car will not move.

yup, the lines are pretty easy to get messed up, and even if you loose a little bit too much fluid, the car wont move.
