dizzy
Did you mark your dissy and put it back in the same position??? If you just pulled it out and slapped her back in your going to have issues.

Crap. Alright.
1. Remove #1 spark plug and pull the coil wire off
2. Place your finger over the spark plug hole
3. Have an assistant bump(turn the pulley) the motor over until you feel air pushing your finger off the hole. after that If you get a flash light you can see the piston rising inside if you turn the engine slowly.make sure its all the way at the top. If it goes back down just spin the engine(pulley) slowly the other way.
4.Take the distributor cap of and make sure the rotor is pointing toward the #1 cylinder spark plug point in the dizzy cap with the metal end.If it is then you know your engine is in compression in the first cylinder.
5.If your dizzy is not pointing toward the #1 cylinder spark plug point with the metal end pull it out and set it there. I like to mark the dizzy on the metal part aprox. where the point on the cap is that way you don't have to keep putting the cap on and off to see if the rotor is pointing wear its suppose to be.
look at the pulley there is a mark on it should be close to the "0" on your timing teeth. this is just to ensure that your timing is close to were its suppose to be. and that you are in compression in the first cylinder. if you have any more questions let me know this is kinda a lengthy subject but I'll try to help you as you go just ask.

by not running right do you mean not running at all, or just running poorly. if its not running at all and its backfiring then you simply put the distributor back in 180 degrees out. Just pull it out and turn the part on the dist. that goes into the cam 1/2 turn. put it back in and it should start right up.

get a haynes manual and a timing light.. if its just running like crap.. but if it did like mine did and throw a crankshaft position code and went into limp mode (wont rev past 4k rpm) u probably got a reman. dizzy that was wired wrong.. just letting u know from past experiance
ok i dont have time to do it right now but it will start and run but it will cut out so if i go with step 1 to 4 i will get it running right. i put the old dizzy on and it is fine but that dizzy is just about junk
