Default K-PRO

Ive done a little research and cant find exactly what k-pro will do for my type s timewise. Anyone know a rough estimate on how much time i would gain in the 1/4 mile? HP gains?

Stock motor + HONDATA flash = 20 WHP. Im sure the ECU it's self will be more beneficial. Im quite interested in some statistics as well. If i come across any ill hit you up.
Good Luck.

This is an example of what the reflash or k-pro will do for you: http://hondata.com/reflash_rsx.html

To even get a rough estimate of what K-Pro (on a base map/basic tuning or dyno tuning) we would have to know your current setup. What modifcations do you already have done to your car? Have you taking it to the track in its current state, if so what's the best time you ran?

And even with knowing all of that, it would still be hard. Like its been said, your driving is more effective in a 1/4 mile than supporting mods. Driver modification is one of the most significant parts to tracking a car and getting the best time out of it. Obviously, if you can't drive the car or drive it right then it doesn't matter how fast it is.

With i/rh/e/kpro (basic cai map) on my 06 Type-S when I owned it, I ran 13.6. The only tuning I did was air/fuel, I didn't mess with cam angles or timing, etc.

Before K-Pro, I averaged 13.8-14.0 on street tires. On DR's when it was warmer, I ran 13.8 as well but more consistantly and my 2nd gear was acting up so I wasn't really able to run it to its full potential while on dr's.

Its a fairly noticeable difference. I can't find the dyno plot of a RSX-s with just an intake then tuned with kpro, But it was about like the graph that mbter posted

Just save up and get Kpro and then get the RH so you can see its full potential. It is definitely worth it in the long run especially if your decide to do further modifications to the engine.

I had hondata #4 i saw 13whp and like 20wtq in the midrange, very impressive but the car is a lot smoother across the rev band and the vtec kick is gone but you can still hear it change over.

Best first modification you can get especially if you plan to do more in the future.

just save up the extra cash and get kpro. its well worth it especially after you start getting into some of the bigger mods like turbo or S/C your going to have to have it.

With I/H/E you will see noticeable gain with Kpro. It can be tuned to give u much more in the mid end. In the long run, if u plan to do more to ur engine it'll be worth it.
