P13 automatic ECU to manual????
Hey fellas just picked up a p13 w/ skunk 2 chip the only problem is the ecu is for an automatic and im using it in a manual car........The check engine light is commin on because of this does anybody know what to do to convert the ecu to manual??? This would help out alot thanks guys!
THere is a resistor inside the ecu that you have to remove to take away the automatic function. I don't remember what the location. I will find it for u later.
I hope this help. I done it before, it works fine.

Most Auto Ecus have a jumper at RP11 and have a blank space at RP12. Move RP11 to RP12 and you now have a Manual ECU. Here a closeup of the JDM Jumper configuration: Auto Jumpers
R96, C49 and R82 seem to be related to some Auto trans controls but can be left in place.
Some ECUs (Like the JDM P13-900) have resistors in both places. You can just remove both of them and replace RP12 with a jumper wire.
This applies to all ECUs that share the same board (P11, P12, P13, P14 and P39)

Thanks alot bro def. helped how do u tell the difference between a JDM p13 and p13-900? Thats the only part im lost on......Also what did you use to switch the jumpers what kinda tool?
It is either a jump wire or a resister that you have to remove by soldering iron. Then when you place it into the new location, U have to solder it on. Make should the solder is nice and shinny because it can cause intermittent connection if it has poor solder. I think U can go to http://www.hondata.com and find a picture of USDM and JDM ecu comparison side by side.

I cannot find a p13 auto ecu to save my life...where are they all? they should be everywhere based on the number on automatic swaps imported...and I know most of them are going to be used as 5 speeds. Is there away to convert the p13 manual ecu to a automatic? or is there a different ecu that is compatible for the swap into my 92 accord?
I am a B-Series/D series guy, just getting into the H22 stuff, some of it is making me dizzy :-( thanks for the help fellas. Oh and if anyone has a p13 auto ecu, hit me up via PM, I will buy or trade for fab/machine work.

The P28/30/72 series will run a prelude just fine, and there is a lot more support for them. I'd suggest switching the ecu out.
