01 prelude sh throwing ATTS lights 79,78,43
I searched for this within the forum and also on google.
Hello
My ATTS light came on last night. I check it and got the following codes 79, 78, and 43.
do you guys have a list of what the codes stand for and also what they mean/how to fix the problem?
My car is lowered no more than 1.5 inches.
I will call my mechanic on Monday.
thank you in advance

43- pgmfi-communication line
78- atts control unit
79- atts control inhibition
Download the service manual from http://www.spoonhonda.com . Reset the codes and see if they come back first. These have nothing to do with the car being lowered.

not to thread jack but after I installed my new atts steering control unit and then reseting it the light goes off and stays off while driving and powering through corners but if I turn my car off and turn it back on the light re-appears.... If I reset it again the light goes off and stays off??? But then returns only after the car has been turned off.. any ideas?
Its the one you sent me awhile back. So I think the control unit. The thing is that it actually works after I reset it now but I have to reset it everytime or the light turns off after the cars been turned off. It was code 79 or 78 originally... Im glad its working i have been driving without for a year now. Doesn't make any sense what its doing now??

To the OP... when do you get these codes? All the time? What's your mileage and when did you last change the ATTS fluid?

Yea, I don't see any reason why replacing your current one with a newer one would be an issue. Why are you replacing it?

http://www.spoonhonda.com . Download the chapter on ATTS, chapter 15. The ATTS unit takes 1qt of ATF . Use the Honda ATF.

Jump the blue 2P connector next to the OBD2 connector and it will flash the codes at you just like the engine CEL. The manual will also tell you how to clear the codes (resetting the ECU does NOT clear the codes).
