Is it possible to convert my 5th generation (Base Model) automatic transmission into a manual (SH)? I was thinkin about maybe makin it into a manual now but was wonderin what would be the best and cheapest way to do it? If not, Ill just keep it auto and fix what I have to on it and then sell it.

 

you could swap to a manual but not an sh your better off seeing how much you can get for the car an buy a manual

 

It is the cheapest to sell your auto and get a manual. But to convert your base to an SH would be more work than just converting your auto base to manual with LSD.

 

You don't have to convert to an SH to get a manual transmission. Just do a manual swap...putting ATTS (main thing that makes it an SH) into the car would be a major headache.

Would you think it would be worth it to switch it to a manual? Yeah I was just reading about the ATTS and it sounds like it kind of sucks if I want to reach more HP. Im kind of new to the Prelude and H22 scene. Just tryin somethin different.

to convert auto to 5 speed, you be looking to spend ball park $3000 give or take.

Thanks guys! Just replaced some parts on it so I think Im just gonna go with trying to sell the car. Lose a little, gain a little.

 

even if its only a simple auto to manual?...all i really need a list of things u know like tranny, ecu, not axles cuz i'm not going SH , pedal assembly clutch, clutch accessories right isnt that all there is to it?..i mean how hard can it really get your just taking a tranny out and putting another in ther of course u would have to trick the sensor making think that is always in park so that u can get the key oub but come on its a honda there nothing really complicated of that if u make it.

is there a difference on the auto center concole to that of a 5 speed non SH center console???? or would the auto be ok to just bearly fit?
