JDM B18C could either be a GSR or Type R.

If you have a P72 stamped head with what looks like an upside down intake manifold, it is a GSR.

If you have a PR3 stamped head with an intake that has solid runners, it is a type R.

GSR with LSD was a factory option in Japan, so just because you have LSD doesnt mean it is type R.

 

You bought a motor without knowing what it is?

Everyone knows, just look for the red valve cover. If it is red, you have a Type R.
