I'd highly recommend brembo blanks. As for reduced brake dust, the best comprimise is OEM. HTH

I would go with Brembo OEM (ie Blanks) replacement rotors or AutoZone rotors, and Axxis Ultimate Pads. Many of the members of the ITR forum use these rotors, even for the track(road race).

You can purchase the Brembo blanks from collettimotorsports.com for a good price and the Axxis Ultimates from Andie at cobalt-friction.com. He is running a special right now for 15% off. Great pads, great price!

Well if I did have to recommend pads, My Hawk HP+ pads do an incredible job of stopping the car but squeek a lot and produce a lot of dust. Don't be discouraged though, because no performance break pad can do both. Everything has a comprimise.

stock pads. Any performance brake pads will squeak (sp?), theres a price to pay for every bit of performance with cars.

heres my recommendation from another post (WoW I must be getting lazy.. copying and pasting my own posts Lolz)..you can also get Axxis Ultimates if you don't like the Hawks..

for the sub $300 I spent I'm really happy w/ my Brembo OE Blank/Solid and Hawk HPs pad setup... it stops really well IMO
it was $28/ea for the Brembo front rotors
$20/ea for the Brembo rears
$10/ea shipping but they take off $10 if u order for so thas $30 ship
$80 for the Hawk pads fronts
$60 for the Hawk pads rears..
$5 Valvoline Synpower Dot 3/4

got most of the stuff from http://www.collettimotorsports.com
got the brake fluid from Autozone...

Porterfield R4S don't squeak. They are not really track pads, but can be for light track use. Pretty pricey. Brembo now has their own pads too. They say good for street and light track use. Price is pretty good, but you have to buy all 4. Anyone tried or heard anything about them, good or bad?

alot of ppl use brembo blanks and hawk pads. i also did some research about the combo and there seems to be no bad things to say about them. so when my brakes go bad i am going with brembo blanks and hawk pads. i thought of going with aem big brake but ppl say isnt all that

I say Powerslot Rotors or Brembo Blanks & Hawk HPS pads.

The HP+ pads are a more track-oriented pad, whereas the HPS is more for street use.

stay away from cross drilled/slotted
Why?
I have had mine for a year or so with no warping or cracking.

so what makes the brembo blanks so good besides the name? are the rotors thicker? different alloy?

and how come the pads cost so much more than rotors?

and i think i've seen some members mixing the types of pads they use. e.g. Hawk HP+ up front and Ultimates in the rear. why is that?

Check out fastbrakes.com if you want a little more braking performance, they have a few kits available at a good price with much more power. I myself, have the 'SpecR' upgrade and I love it, enjoy

Why? What is the difference and is there any reason to get either if it's just for the street?

Just stay away from slotted/drilled rotors, they truely will not do that much for ya, if anything they can actually be detrimental, they just wont do much for you at all, especially for street use. Enjoy

I agree I'm running AutoZone rotors with Ultimate pads. I like them very much.
