Bouncing rpms help.
Well, after searching for a while I decided to post a new topic since I could not find a conclusive answer.
I recently adjusted the timing on my d16y7 on boost. the people before me had done a hack job on it and it was @ 0* of timing. Super slow. Whatever, I fixed it and readjusted the dizzy correctly.
the car runs great now, builds boost faster etc.
The issue is that the rpms go crazy. the needle jumps everywhere, up and down blah blah. I can drive through the whole range and the car does not hesitate at all, even on boost. So the timing is correct. I tune on Crome with my laptop.
what can be causing this jumping needle? On the search someone mentioned the dizzy or ignition coil, the car runs great so I am discarding that ..or am I wrong. help.

Already checked, Its not an idle issue.
Its the rpms that go crazy. I have cleaned FITV and IACV just for the hell of it. Idle has improved but the rpms are nuts. lol

its not the car or motor its the tune program crome causes some civics to that is it jumping for 1,000 to 3,000 back and forth? if so its the ecu tune its not bad and its not good but it doens't hurt your performance either
Ignitor, it's where the tach gets its signal from. Check the connectors on the ignitor to make sure they're on there good. I had the same issue and it turned out that only 2 connectors were loose and sliding around on the spade terminals. Used pliers to crimp them up and slid them on...worked like a charm!
