Default OBD2 and Hondata????

Hey guys I'm a little new to ECU tuning and I'm a little confused. I have read that the Hondata S300 is OBD1 and my car is a 96RS and is OBD2. I was told any older non vtec ECU will work, including the PM06 or PM09 ECU's I already have. But from my reading it looks like a need an OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness to connect every thing up correctly. So my questions are.

Is there a better ECU to use for non vtec?
and
Do I need a jumper harness?

Thanx much

edit*** the motor is a 96 LS with Brian Crower cams, other basic bolt ons and straight pipe exhaust. Its my HPDE car.

there is no way to tune an OBD2 unless you have a jumper harness. All the ECUs made for our cars are OBDI. You can opt for a SAFC or standalone like AEM in order to tune an OBDII, those would be the only ones that would work.

Honda s300 with an OBDII to OBDI jumper harness is your best bet. If you plan on building the motor later on, you wont regret getting it, since its probably one of the best tuning ecus to work with, along with Neptune.
