I have two turbos an one has quite a bit of shaft play side to side and back and forth and the other doesn't have as much. However I would like to swap the comprssor and turbine to the one with out the shaft play. However the one with play I can't get the turbine off at all any ideas on how i can free it to be removed..

ps one is a .42 compressor and .48 turbine (shaft play)
one is .386 turbin and nothing on compressor

I wouldnt do that since you will break both of them...they have to be rebalanced after you do something like that....

 

i used some lubricant, and a hammer.... took a very very very very long time. eventually i got it off. turbo works like a charm right now.
