Default B16A1 wired with B16A2 engine loom question.

Hi,

I'm building a Mini Cooper with a B16A1 engine. But having problems with wiring.

I'm able to buy a precut dashloom from a 0BD1 engine, direct fit to a mini loom.
But i need a 0BD1 engine loom to connect to the 0BD1 dashloom.

Is it possible to use a 0BD1 engine loom to connect the B16A1?
(-Boomslangs/rywire advice: Don't mix 0BD0 with 0BD1)

Does anybody have a idea, what to do?

Maybe a prev................

Let's establish this:

Is your current B16A an OBD0 engine with the milky whitish distributor plugs, or is it an OBD1 engine with the grey plug distributor?

Dizzy isn't the problem. Haven't bought one yet.(New)
I know the 0BD0-0BD1 conversion. (Dizzy, 0BD0-0BD1 harness, P28/30)
But that isn't the problem.

The only thing that i have bought is a B16A1............................
So all option are open at the moment.

Asked this question, because i can buy a premade mini-0BD1 dashloom.
So a plug and pay wiring for a B16A2 in a classic Mini Cooper.
That makes live easy..............(When having a B16A2 )

Yeah, that's correct. There is a 0BD0 dizzy on it.(But it can be changed, no prob)

What different sensor's are there? That's some info that i want.
All differences in sensors, boxes, but only from the engine loom.

The last info that i've got is:

-Buy a B16A2 intake, put it on the B16A1. (Some 0BD1 sensors needed)
-Buy a 0BD1 dizzy
-Buy a P28/30

The rest of the 0BD0 loom is the same as the 0BD1 engine loom.
But is that correct?

What about the injector resistor box on de 0BD0?

so you're saying that you have an obd0 engine and an obd1 harness, right?

I honestly don't know the answer, but that's going to kick *** when it's done.

Yep.

0BD1 loom and B16A1(0BD0) engine.

Sorry for the bad english writing on my side...................(Dutch )

So i'm looking for someone who has some info about swaping a B16A1 in a Civic Vti(orso). No normal swap, i know!

Or a wiring guru.

Let me see if I can help.

The parts I'm listing will need to be sourced from an OBD1 B16A - likely from an EG SiR/SiRII in your country:

Intake manifold with fuel rail and injectors
Throttle body with sensors (MAP/TPS)
Distributor
Alternator

You'll also need a 4-wire o2 sensor as the OBD1 has this, but the OBD0 has two 1-wire sensors

What ECU will you be running?

Yeah so the last info that i've got is correct.

-Need a complete B16A2(0BD1) intake+tb
-Dizzy (msd 0BD1)
-4 wire (innovate motorsport LC-1 kit) -------Got it!
-P28 ecu
-B16A2 engine loom
-Precut B16A2 dashloom sliced with mini cooper loom

What's with the alternator? Is that also different?

And all the rest of the sensors, etc is the same?
So if i buy all above listed parts, is has to work?

"B16A2" engine loom - make sure what ever it is it's an OBD1 engine loom.

Here in the US the B16A2 was all OBD2, and its loom won't work if it came from an EM1 chassis.
