Default Need help to as what the problem may be - video inside

it's a 1990 integra ls

I was driving my car on the highway, doing about 120(Km/H), and out of no where my car dies on me. nothing violent, no rattling, no vibrating, no mechanical sounds, just like when the distributor goes out on you, you can feel it about to die, and two seconds later it does.

So now i can't start her up(for long).

I knwo i am getting fuel, I am getting spark, and i have compression. i am pretty sure this is an electrical issue, but i can be wrong. I am thinking that it might be whatever controls the injectors(a sending unit of some sort), is malfunctioning because the car does catch for a quick second then dies out

I have a video of her starting uo (just took it 5 min ago)

http://www.zshare.net/video/1664339475ff3cd1

car ran fine before this happened.
she starts up twice in this video towards 30 seconds she catches better than she ever has since this happened.

any input would be great. thanks........

The video needs a minute to load up. Some one is telling me on a nother site that it can be the main relay, any one think this could be it? and could there be something wrong with the distributor even though im still getting spark?

Also Air! I would say to temporarily remove your intake just in case you have a CAI and it sucked up dirt. If not that, I would say it sounds like it wants to start but is missing fuel. Let us know.

I also just spoke with some one and they said that they never heard of thew main fuel realy going out while the car is driving (not sure if this is true or not), and yes i did jump the timing by moving rocking the distributor back and forth but am 99.9 % sure its back in its proper position as i scribed a mark before i moved it).

"Jumping the timing" Is refering to your timing jumping a tooth or being off by a tooth causing the car to run horrible. From what you describe it doesn't sound like it.

The main relay can go bad while driving, thats how mine went dead. Driving down the freeway and it just died. I dont think there is anyway to check it, you just have to replace it.

the main relay should click three times before your car starts, if youre fuel pump is priming and youre getting spark, its prob not the main relay...sounds like a timing issue to me

Check the rotor screw, I had one come lose and it drove me nuts trying to get it running.

Not the main relay.

Ran out of gas, LoL.
Alternator failure causing battery to drain.

Check the rotor screw inside the distributor! I've seen this first hand. Remove the cap, but be careful, if the screw has come out it will be sitting inside the cap. Don't lose it! It's a really simple fix if this is the problem, check this next.
