5w30 or 10w30 with 9000+ car?
Like the topic says. Which is the correct weight to run with my ITR? I have Jun3 cams and JUN ECU and it wraps out to 9200rpms's. I have been told 10w30 is better for my car because it's a thicker oil. What do you guys think?
Mobil one of course
I would say the smartest thing to add to your motor is an aftermarket auxiliary oil cooler - which will not only keep the oil from overheating but increase your capacity too. e.g. Earl's
Damn 7 quarts? That's awesome. I'll have to look into an oil cooling system. I just get paranoid revvin' my car to 9000K rpm's reguardless of the valvetrain upgrades.

LOL. I remember when we put it all together @ SGT's.
"How much oil should we put in?"
"I dunno, 5-6 maybe?"
"Damn, that much?"
"Those lines and that cooler are big."
fast forward 5.5 quarts...
"How much does read?"
"Oh... I need another quart..." (nearly off the stick)

After 2 - 3 track weekends. The filter is HUGE. I use a nice Amsoil oil filter, which is pretty butch, and flows very well. The only other oil filter I would consider is a K&N.

Wow I guess I have something in common with Warren
! I also use 7 quarts of 10W-30. The Moroso pan and APP oil cooler added some serious capacity to my system.
