Default ef vs eg

i recently made a posting about my f20c swap...my next question is wat would be a better platform car to swap into...im not interested in the ek model. i know that the ef is lighter than the eg but is it by much? but are there any other differences that would play a role in perfomance, speed, and overall exceptance of the f20c engine other than the lighter weight ef? thanx again

neither is a good platform to swap an s2k drivetrain into. especially since you said in the other thread you're not mechanically inclined. You need to quit playing Forza2. Just because they let you do the swap in the game doesn't mean you need to try it in real life. And why not just ask this question in your other thread?

i would say ef because i have seen people do the awd swap for the car i dont know whats needed to do that but i have seen it. plus no one expects the ef to be a fast as hell rwd platform. good luck and make sure you post the build i would love to see that bad boy rock the streets!!!

thanx for the feedback! i actually already have an ef with a b16 i was recently thinkin bout saving it and just starting a new project but i mite jus rip da b16...but yea i def agree with you no would expect a ef to take the [freak] off and they damn sure wouldnt expect a s2000 engine to be sitting under da hood. but did you see or hear about that ef online if so let me no if you can remember where u saw it so that i can get sum feedback from them as well thanx

I answered your question.

there have been successful FWD to RWD swaps in CRXs, several with chevy small block V8's. I've seen at least one in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine. Here is one in progress: http://www.superhonda.com/foru...7861/ I don't know that anyone has done an s2k drivetrain into a civic/crx. If you really want to do it, you better find a a shop that's good at fabrication and get your checkbook out. I seriously doubt you'll even attempt it though.

and don't get all pissy about my responses; there's no reason to make assumptions about me, my ability, or my intelligence. there's also no reason to make multiple threads. Your grammar and spelling give away your true level of intelligence, so I don't have to make assumptions about you

oh i apologize i did not realize i was up for a job interview...in other words i am making no attempt to prove to you or anyone else on here what my level of education is. apparently you must be a little insecure of your own intelligence because you have felt the need to try and prove to everyone on HONDA-TECH that you are smart. just because you have accomplished using and spelling words of more than 2 syllables and 4 letters does not make you smart my friend. and just so you know i can quarentee my master degree in nuclear engineering, along with my occupation as a MRI Service Engineer for Siemens Medical (stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging because i know you have no clue what it means) is far greater than what you have managed to accomplish working at pep boys making $9.75 while living out of your mother's basement thanx

nothing to prove?

I tried to help you in my last post, not just insult your poor grammar. You didn't seem to notice that. Don't focus on your project though, just keep making assumptions about who I am and what I do. I always thought my name gave away my occupation, but I guess not. Good luck with the project.

It's going to make no diff in which platform you use. There is going to be SSSOOOOO much fab work involved in that project. If money isn't the issue then just find a good shop with a awesome fabricator. But I have seen these threads all to often on H-T, sooner or later you'll stop posting in the thread and then sometime next week you'll say "project done car runs great, close thread" .

With that much money you could just go to a shop and say "I want a F20C in my hatchback" instead of asking on Honda-Tech.

A lot of people know what MRI means, pretty common nowadays. I've had two myself
