suspensions on dc chassis help please
DC chassis, not looking to auto x/track or racing in general, maybe jsut redline a few times per tank of gas. it is a daily. My current old koni setup feels old and no idea how long they will last, i've been suggested by few friends that it would be better to buy a new set of koni yellows if i like them because rebuilding cost about the same.
how are these tanabe in general and how do they compare to the popular setups around the same price range
i.e) koni +gc... teins... tokico...
> http://www.tanabe-usa.com/coilovers/s-ocII.asp <-- would these be considered good?
http://f2autolife.com/ hows ff1?
how long do these suspensions usually last?
how long do koni shocks last or tokico blue or white shocks last? thanks
how to tell how much longer your suspensions have to live?
do all koni yellow have this "LIFE TIME WARRENTY" thing? hows it work because i have old koni yellow god knows how long i've been riding them and running on some old h&r springs. squeeks just like anyone else w/ old konis and squeeks even more on stiff like anyone elses old koni.

Just because the shocks are old and used doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them. Odds are that there is nothing wrong with your shocks. What makes you think you need to replace them?
I've never heard a squeak in a Honda that was caused by the dampers themselves. Squeaks are typically caused by bushings, ball joints, or missing/damaged/incorrect spring isolators. I have two heavily used sets of Koni 8041-Sports on two of my Hondas right now and neither set squeaks.

you always run them stiff and how long you have them?
so i can safely just buy ground controls made for koni set ups and still run for multiple + years now?
well theres sometimes random liquid at the very top of the shock where i adjust stiffness or softness

I installed my Koni Sport shocks back in February 2002, along with H&R Sport springs.
In May 2004 I switched to Ground Controls. Then in April 2005 I sold those and put on my factory GS-R front springs and stock ITR rear springs w/ the Koni perches on the lowest setting.
My Konis now have about 160K miles on them and still seem to be working great.
I asked once about my Koni shocks being worn out and about the warranty, and CRX Lee on here (works for Koni) replied that they will not honor the warranty if they are not actually worn out. He also said that the Koni rebound adjustment can actually account for normal wear. But I never ran mine at full stiff all the time either. That was just too much. I usually run mine between full soft and 1/2 turn from full soft.
