search corsportusa for your bolt on parts....just be aware that anything you do can void part/all of your warranty. if your car messes up return it to stock before you take it in.
replacing your cat isnt really to make your car sound better IMO, thats what a cat-back is for, but it will increase hp/tq with other supporting mods (header/exhaust).
06+ civic parts will fit your 08 mugen. manufacturing companies just havent updated their parts to specify. make sure the part you are looking at is not 06 specific though.

telling him not to mod the car is pretty stupid...what's the difference between ruining the reliability, warranty, and resale value of your SI and his mugen SI ? obviously both cars were made to perform out of the box and he wants it to perform better.
it's your car dude, realize the repercussions of modding a car and decide whether or not it's for you.

I fully agree with you. I'm all for modding.
However, it just appears that this individual is getting a lot of opinions from random people, and they don't appear to have any reasoning behind them. It's of my opinion that if you bought a mugen and want to mod it RIGHT, you're gonna want to buy some sick expensive-*** parts for it, and not go by what your "racer" friends think you should start off with.
For all we know, they could own absolutely horrid civics with huge aluminum wings and "APC" oil caps... I just didn't get a good vibe with this post, that's all. "Yeah go on ebay they have cheap intakes and testpipes!!!!!!!@!$!@$!$@"
Research, research, research my friend.

The member was simply trying to save the OP time/money.
When his 2008/09 car won't pass inspections or a CEL comes on and he goes to the dealer and they void his warranty due to emissions tampering (check it , its there) i dont think he will want that on the vin coding when /if the 2nd buyer goes to maint the car.
its not always about personal preference but moronic vs logical.

Why the hell would you modify a limited release vehicle? Why not buy a regular Si which makes the same power and mod that one?
Just my two cents, I just think modifying a car that was limited is dangerous. Do realize that the re-sell value will drop because no one likes to buy modded ****. I've been trying to find a 2000 civic si electron blue for months now, all of them modded to ****.
The **** about buying a modded car is, you dont know what else was modified and whether they were done right or not.

I am with JDM here. Personally, if I were going to buy a limited build/release vehicle I would be doing so to keep in the garage. A limited release vehicle will always have more value if it's kept stock and clean. Collectors are not looking for modified limited release vehicles. At least I know I will not touch a modified classic.
Several years ago I was looking for 1968 Olds 442 convertable. At the "Hot August Nights" aution there were 3, all looked clean. 2 were modified to death with aftermarket performance parts, 1 was bone stock. The bone stock 442 sold for move that $5K more than the others. Unfortinately out bidding me by several grand.
Anyway, the moral in my mind is keep the classics stock.
Just one more opinion.
Course, it is the owners discretion. It is his vehicle after all. If you don't care about re-sell so much, then go to town.
