LCA bolt (bolt that is in the frame of the car) Welded nut with the metal bowl thingy around it
Hey all, im redoing my suspension and a ton of bushings, and i have 1/2 of a b olt still in the frame of my car with the LCA bolts up to the frame. Ive drilled a LH drill bit and got pretty far, then tried a tap and it cracked in it. So my usual steps are just hacksaw the nut off of the end, then get a new one, but theres this metal bowl thingy covering the bolt. Is it possible to crack the welded nut off of the frame so i can just remove the bolt?
Maybe i didnt explain very well, the bolt that connects the LCA through to the frame was not budging, so i cut the LCAs out. The remains of the bolt through the holes are what im having trouble removing.
If you're talking about bolt #35, it should've came out without cutting anything. 99% of the time, the threads on the bolt gets caught after you've already unscrewed it, so you have to take a phillips screwdriver and stick it through the other side to push the bolt out.

Did you try spraying a lil wd-40 on there? What I did was use my T-bar and extended it onto my ratchet wrench to create more leverage. I know that bolt is on there pretty good, but it does come off.

I applied heat to the big nut holding the rest of the bolt in and just snapped it off with a breaker bar. Thanks guys.
