Default Door Lock Question...

I don't mind the auto locks. They're convenient and don't bother me. What bothers me is when I turn the car off, the driver side unlocks, but the passenger always has to unlock their door. Is there a way to get the car to unlock both doors when I turn off the car?

but just incase you dont want to read it....

1. get in the car and close the door. turn your key to the on (II) position.

2. press and hold the unlock button. you will first hear the doors unlock...but keep holding it until you hear 2 more clicks....about 7 to 10 seconds total....

3. let go of the lock and turn your key to the lock (0) position.

that should be it man, pretty simple

yeah this bothered me for a while when I first got the car.
Nowadays though, what bothers me is people trying to open the passenger door when I set my e-brake, even before I turn the car off.

Yes, but then the doors won't automatically lock correct? I want them to lock once I start driving. Its just that I want them to both unlock when I turn the key back. Just making sure you guys understand I don't wanna disable the autolock.

The doors will still automatically lock when you start driving.

Good info. It got really annoying every time I'd have passengers or get something out of the passenger seat and the doors are still locked.

Well what year is ur civic? the 06's dont unlock all the doors but the 07-08 does. You can have em lock when u take it out of park (on auto) or once you hit 9mph on either auto or manual, You can have em unlock when u put it back in park or turn the key off... just a matter of how long you hold the lock/unlock button down for during programming.

Just trying to clarify, are you saying that you can't program the 06 civics to unlock all doors when you turn off the car?
