I'm looking for a new windshield for my Del Sol. Mine got cracked by some flying rocks on the freeway, & it's getting bigger.
Does anybody know where I can get a good deal on an OEM or high quality aftermarket replacement? I prefer shops in Los Angeles or Orange Counties. Thanks!

The parking lot of the Pick A Part on N Blinn in Wilmington, Ca., has a glass shop...
Only $100, and I didn't even have to take the car off of the trailer!.........good luck....

That's where I got mine. $100 too. There are two pick a parts there though. Go to the one next to where they have the newer cars. The one next to the old cars tried to dick me and charge me $150 after I had already got a quote for $100 over the phone.

Yup, on Mission Rd between Marengo, all the way to Cesar Chavez, that whole stretch is nothing but auto glass shops and junk yards. You won't find what you need anywhere else for as cheap as you will on Mission.

Is there any shop in particular I should look for? Since you mention junk yards, is $80 for a new or used windshield?

No, no, no. There are glass shops AND junk yards along this street, but they're not one in the same. As for the cheapest one? There's usually a guy outside of every single one of these shops trying to flag you into their shop, kinda like when you go to TJ and they try to guide you into certain bars, haha! There's so much competition amongst all the shops that I'm sure you'll get a great deal. Everytime I've gone, they've always hooked me up with quality new parts, whether OEM or aftermarket, they'll open it and take it out of the package right in front of you.
