h22a isnt in it? and if your looking for another motor for the power, h22 is the way to go. other then that you can make a frankenstein which is a h23 block with a h22 head. what motor is in it now?

The h22 is about as good as it gets. 200 hp, 160 or so lbs of tq. If you want more power turbo that bia. If its burning alot of oil I would order a JDM H22A from Hmotors online. Will cost you about $1500 plus install.

They say that H22's tend to burn a little oil. Just keep that in mind. Is there anything else wrong with the motor? How many miles? Are there and mods done to the engine?

Ohh I forgot, you can get the Euro-R H22 or the Type-S H22 that push about 220HP but are very expensive.

well to be honest the car has alot of mile but the guy i bought it from replaced the motor with a motor that i believe was bought from hmotors. it runs perfect. no smoke at all. it has a small kind of knock to it which i dont think is coming from the block but i could be wrong. i asked the previous owner and he said its been making that noise since he put that motor in. i was thinking maybe the valve seals where bad which would cause a sort of knocking in the head and maybe it passes oil through there too. again this is just a thought. the guy drove it around like that for bout 60k so i dunno. i've always thought these where great motors i jus haven't messed with them. are you saying i could buy a h22 online shipped for 1500? that seems real cheap. if thats the case ill just drive this till it blows lol.

check ur axles, my car made a knocking/tapping noise but it was only when i was driving. (rev in neutral = no tap) so while attempting a clutch job (failed cuz only had 4hours to do a floor job 2man) found that the axle wasn't moving freely. rebuilt the axle on the spot and the tap/knock stopped

oh and u can replace the H22 with an H23block mated to an H22 head. benefit is a torque increase. glad ur lude's working out for you
