So for those who don't know... I picked up a del sol at the end of june and put a lot of time and money into it throughout the month of july. I did a couple photoshoots and didnt even have time to post pics because of how busy I was with the car. 5 weeks was exactly last friday, and on that 5 weeks mark the car was written off. I am still considering fixing it myself as I do not want to go through insurance.

Leaving a parking spot at home depot in ajax (after work I was gonna stop by to see a friend). It was 12:30AM Saturday (friday night), I was making a right out of the spot when suddenly I saw lights and an airbag smacked me in the face.

I sat there for like 40 seconds staring at the ground, looked up saw a red civic hatchback in my [freak]ing bay and punched the dash like 10 times before I got out of the car ready to go crazy. I walk up to the other car to make sure hes okay first before I kill him or her and it turns out its my neighbour who i've been friends with for 13 years. I couldn't even speak to him, he kept apologizing. My parents showed up worried and **** and the kid went on to tell my mom that he knows how much work and money and time i've devoted to this car and he doesn't know how he'll ever repay me.

All said and done I got a friend to tow me home and the next morning his parents and my parents talk and it turns out the little [freak]er is trying to say that I was the one at fault. (even though I was pulling out to go north, making a right out of the spot which means I was on my side of the aisle, whereas he was coming south and still hit me. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that he was flooring it.) Me and Wildoutwhitegsr started to take the front end apart and its not as horrible as i thought however its going to be a lot of work. After realizing that the kids parents didn't want to pay for the damage, I said [freak] it i'll fix it myself if I have to.

Well turns out she might go through insurance and I would have loved for my insurance to not even find out, I am currently paying 386/month under my dads name as a secondary driver.


It's been quite the week, first speeding ticket (15 over) on wednesday, lost my job on friday, wrote the car off on friday.)

my mistake. I meant EH6.

btw ur mistaken the EG2 is the 94 / 95 and it came with 2 cams. as u can clearly see my stock motor has one cam. sohc ftL btw I have a full b16a2 swap sitting at my buddies shop that i just paid for....

actually you are wrong. Del Sol S's are EG1s. which are also single Cams.

atleast you are ok dude. I know the feeling. I have been working on my car all summer and hit a deer three nights ago and did almost the same thing. Keep the project alive!

 

I'm waiting right now for the bitches who hit me to finalize what they wanna do. If all goes well, I'll be grabbing parts and putting her back on the road within the next week.

as for paint .. probably gonna be a winter project and the new swap is just sitting at my buddies shop so we'll see what happens.

I'm leaning towards Champ white with no pearl this time so I can match the body a bit easier.

anyone got any other suggestions for off white colors other than frost white?

 

Sorry about the incident, its not bad at all. I would be pissed at my friend though because it what you work hard for. True friends always stick together anyways keep us posted what you going to do to it.
