Default OMG rear disk brakes

So i did a rear disk brake conversion on my civic and OMG huge difference night and day so to all of you out there with drum rears on you civic do it it only takes a couple of hours and definently worth the work. I ended up using the integra rear lca's because i'm going to use the sway bar. I know the camber was going to be messed up but that's why i bought the adjustable rear camber kit

It is more likely that changing our your fluid and everything else is what you're noticing more than the brakes.

Did you change your proportioning valve?

Couldn't have agreed more. Disc swaps are ok, but more for getting rid of drums then an actual performance upgrade.

you can test them, they just won't be boosted, so they might suck a lot..

The problem with drums is the HUGE PITA they are to adjust. I have yet to get it correct, every time i do the shoes my pedal turns to mush, if i crack the line or not.....

Disc/Drum stopping distances were the same. New pads and fluid on either = WIN!

If drums are adjusted properly you will actually have LESS drag from them than with rear disc's plus some people actually prefer drums when autoxing and such cause you will get less brake fade with drums. Plus drums are lighter.

Now with that all said I also did a rear disc conversion like 8 years ago for ease of changing

I have EK rear trailing arms i switched onto my 91 Si because of better bushing condition and I think they are about 15-20 mm bigger and id never do rear disks from here... i have DA front knuckles and i couldnt be happier with the setup...

Drums last forever anyways... yeah changing em sucks but how often is that? less brake dust, they are lighter with virtually no difference in braking... if you want better brakes... upgrade the hell out of the front IMO... either way cheers to H-T !
