I have a b18b1. Im putting a shunk2 intake manifold and a 4 to 1 header. would i need to get my car tuned?

 

do you have anything done to your car that would warrant the intake manifold? ie cams or anything....? If not your car will actually make less power if you put it on.

edit* but to answer your question no you wouldnt need a tune just for an intake manifold and a header

You can say it reroutes the power, you will lose some midrange and gain some top end on a stock engine, keep in mind the losses/gains will be very minimal.

As far as tuning car, do you have anything else you want to do to it? I would finish putting the rest of the parts on and tune it all at once.

 

ok so when they say that the skunk2 IM will gain 15hp. i wont see that with the stock motor

 

Nope, you will only get maybe few HP at best on stock motor. When they say 15hp is max on a well tuned + heavy modified engine .
