problems with new swap, please give me some advice! I'm stumped!
Ok here's the deal. I have a 00 civic that I have been running a 95 LS swap with. It has an obd2 harness with a jumper harness. I just swapped in a newer LS motor with lower miles (also an obd1, 95 LS). I am using the same harness and jumper harness that i did with my old swap, as well as: distributor, injectors, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, throttle body (and sensors that are connected to it) evap purge solenoid, and ecu off my old swap that ran just fine (it was just loosing compression). Since I put the motor in, it will idle perfectly and run smoothly below 2,000 RPMs. As soon as I take it above 2,000 RPMs it bogs down and acts like its going to stall. Once I let off the gas it returns to a smooth idle. I can get it to rev past 2,000 RPMs if I apply the throttle in short bursts, but if I just steadily apply gas it will start to bog/die at around 2,000 RPMs.
I know my vacuum lines are run correctly and my timing is perfect. All I can think of is that I have a vacuum leak somewhere, or that module/sensor that's attached to the back of the intake manifold is bad. I am stumped and would appreciate any ideas/advice.
Thanks and I'll let you guys know whats up when I figure out the prob.
