Shock re-valve on CRX, where to begin?
Setup is:
1991 CRX Si.
Stock motor
4.43 FD with ZC gears
Full spherical bearings
stock brakes
close to stock weight
Currently on OTS Koni's with GC sleeves 400/lb front, 450/lb rear
95% track/AutoX car, only driven on the street to events.
Car is quite soft, the spring/shock combo is very well matched, excellent damping, but I would like the car to pitch a bit less and have a lot more body control.
I'm curious as to how to calculate or figure out where to have Koni re-valve my shocks? I've read that OTS are good to 500/lb springs at the very maximum, I'm feeling like I need more than that, but I'm not sure how much more. I would love to go with a Moton 3-way setup, but at approx. 5000$, that isn't going to happen.
Any CRX racers that have real world experience, please feel free to give me your opinion.
Thanks.
