Koni RACE shocks on CRX
I bought Koni race shocks (shorter ones) for my 91 CRX and I am wondering what length of spring I should order with my GC kit.
I will be changing the springs if I hit the track so i’d like to know what spring rate is good for the street and track. I’ll be buying 2 sets of springs.

Re: Koni RACE shocks on CRX
Correct spring length depends on rate and how much you want to drop it.
I used anywhere from...5.5" to 8" springs on my Koni/GC setup on my ITR. Rates from 400LB to 570LB.
Spring rates take a lot of experimentation...and it depends heavily on type of tires, other setup items, car weight, shock valving, etc. People might shout out what worked for them. But...it only worked for them (or so they'll claim).

It's not smart to drive koni race shocks much on street fyi. But like other guy said spring rates very on experiment. I no for dd I like 350-400 for both front and rear you just get a feel..
i think 350/350 is even ride. Again you cannot should not drive koni race coilovers on streets too much. Even lee from koni said so and voids warranty
keep koni race for track only driven
but spring rates for track usually people get 500-600f/500-750rear depending on application

Re: Koni RACE shocks on CRX
Koni race shocks are valved to handle rates of 550+. You will want to run atleast no less than 650lbs for the racing you want to be doing. Spring rate depending on your driving style, and the balance you want.
