D15B3 w/ D16(?) head gasket ?'s

so i have a buddy who bought a 93 civic and the guy he bought it from says it has d16 head. the gasket has proven to be leaking and causing several problems, but when i replace the gasket, which one should i use? the d15 or the d16?

D16Z6, although if i remember correctly a lot of guys prefer the D16Y8 metal headgasket.
