Thinking About Boost..
so here it goes..
im kinda brain dead when it comes to boost and im wanting to start learning
i got a OBD1 GSR motor in my 1992 Honda Hatch..
Mods
Full Supertech Valve Tran- Duel Valve Springs Titanium Retainers and Valves
Stock Cams For Now, And Skunk 2 Cam Gears..
CTR Pistons
I am planing on taking out my pistons and put low compression in it and boosting.. I am wanting to get 300hp out of it nothing crazy im just wanting a 12second hatch..
I am wanting to get Weisco Pistons and Rods?? and 550cc injectors and fuel rail and stuff.. and of course the turbo kit..
But thats what my question is, i need some help on what else i would need to get here.. i know i am missing a lot of things but i dont know what ill need.. im wanting to do possible a 50trim turbo.. So if u all could help me out and let me know what else im going to need that would be great, thanks guys..

Alright before you start taking apart you bottom end You can get 300 horses easy. With stock internals. Even up to 340hp so what i would say buy you turbo get a hondata s300 and then get it tuned after turbo install. If you want to get new pistons and rods sure go for it if you have the money. then upgrade your injectors to 310cc that will be fine for your set up. If you want to help even more send your block to golden eagle get it sleeved for 950 with out shipping then a good port and polish with a three angle valve job. A good one if found was 660 and they did a wonderful job on my gsr head. This is just some help for you ok so take it as you want. You do as you like but you dont really need much with a turbo to get what you want just a hondata just to tune it right.

i'm with this guy. you could get 300 EASY with those ctr pistons in the bottom end. and gsr cams, which you already have, are good turbo cams. i would just spend the money on a nice turbo kit i.e. rev-hard, full race etc..

turbo kit,ems,injectors,255 walbro fuel pump is all you need for 300hp,as long as you take it to a competent tuner you shouldnt have to worry about building the motor...but you will most likely want more power after awhile everyone does so if you have the time and money go ahead and throw forged pistons and rods in there

if your really worried about blowing your motor then yea go ahead with low comp or just find gsr so you comp will be at 10 again then go from there if you wish i under stand your situation with blowing your motor i would be afraid to if i were you lol. quick question what do you plan to do with your car drag/street/track? with 12:1 comp you should be close to 200 hp right?

Ah ha! I knew someone out there listened to me when i said that six thousand times
The compression is somewhat of an issue and if it does worry you to run such high compression (without access to affordable higher octane fuel) you can always swap out a set of OEM pistons for your goals. There's no need to build it for your power goals. Hell, i ran 315whp on a stock GSR for 2 years with no issues. Feel better
