vss shot? would it cause limp mode?
My speedo does not work, I think the VSS is shot after the clutch job. I tested to see if power was getting to the sensor at the harness, via a test light and all was good. The car has no speedo, and I cannot get it to rev past 3700 on my tach. It is throwing cel number 9 for the cylinder position sensor This is odd because I usually have the egr valve CEL . It also blows the ecu under the hood fuse intermitantly.
How many wires are connected from the sensor to the harness? Maybe one broke?

yes, it will put your ecu in limp mode. any cel will do that.
