Default tranny shaking and throwout bearing is done for.

what could happen to a tranny if the throwout bearing is messed up and it vibrates?

For the last 6 months, my tranny has been vibrating quite a bit and it makes a loud whirring sound when i release the clutch. Besides all that, my tranny still shifts smoothly and feels like everything works fine because i redline once awhile and nothing bad happens.

My mechanic says my tranny is vibrating quite a bit and i mite need to rebuild it soon.

has anyone had a similar problem and what did you do to fix it?

my clutch is only 1 year old and its oem if that helps.

hows your clutch? just replace your clutch and replace the tob. i think youre supposed to replace it as maintenance, anyway

Do you know about how often??? I'm having some tranny problems too. I do alot of HPDE and auto-x, i was wondering if i was beating on the car or it just wore out. I really don't think i'm beating on it tho. It's a 96 gsr 108K, origional everything related to the engine and tranny.

On a side note, i do have poly bushings for the suspension, could that make for an excess load on motor mounts/shift linkage bushings??? I have a feeling it is, just looking for some opinions.
