bad tranny?

bad tranny?
i got a tranny from a yard 5 dallors.i put it in with new clutch and trow out bearing.now it will not go intogear but ti did when i pull it out of the old car.i mean i had to force it to get it in gear.9only did that once). is this my throw out bearing?

I payed 30 at a local pick and pull for my spare trans have over 40k on it. Op did you check to see if you can get it to go into gear with the car off? When you push the clutch in can you watch the clutch fork move? did you put the trow out bearing in the correct way? if not the clutch will not disengage

yes i did check it befor i bought it even drove the car i pulled it out of..yea the fork moves, i think i f'ed up on the throw out bearing.... i bought it form auto zone and how do uintal it the proper way?

So when you press the clutch the clutch moves fwd and presses the bearing against the pressure plate springs allowing the clutch disc to spin freely
