So,
I am the proud owner of a 91 civic si. I picked it up about two years ago and it was in mint condition. Last december, i hit gravel in a round-about and the car went into a sidewalk, bending a piece in the subframe and a local mechanic's shop estimated the fix at one grand.
The car pulls hard to the right, not to mention im going through tires like nobody's business. I have plans for the thing as well, maybe build up the d16 or maybe drop in a B.
Now im second guessing because of this bent frame. If in knew anything about framework I would do it myself but I dont.
What do you all say? Is it worth it?

Yeah if it is the sub frame, your gonna have to drill out the old one and weld in a new one. Costly on both parts and labor. To be honest if you are going to take it to a shop, make sure it is a damned good one. That repair is VERY unforgiving and takes a very trained person to do.
I said it needed welded in as my 01 civic sub frame is welded, not bolted in.

i agree with keith, i would say get a true estimate from a reliable source, and see if its even worth fixing...your planning on doing a swap and they wanna charge you a grand, your better off spending a little more and getting a new car(even just a shell) thats just my opinion
