Default LCA bushing removal/install

Im trying to replace these bushings. I had a press on them and it wasnt really moving at all. What is the easiest way to remove these ? Then how do I install them ? I read something about turning bushings ? Will there be a directional mark or anything on them ?

The bushings are pressed in so they have to be pressed out. It takes quite a bit of force to get them out. Just keep pressing until they come out. It isn't an easy job to get them out. Once you get the first one out the rest will be much easier. I replaced mine with polyurethane bushings, no pressing involved on the install of those.

you have to press along the metal outside section of the bearing correct using something that is the same size as the opening for the bushing. I tried pushing in the center and it ripped the bushing apart and left the metal along the outside. What did u use to press them out ?

Yes, everything has to come out in order to be able to get the new ones in. I used a socket flipped upside down to push mine out with.

what size because i used one that was just about right and it pushed it into the metal sleeve. Also is there a way to push it out, like is the hole tapered or anything or can you push it out either way ?

i get in there with a hacksaw and cut the sleeve and then drive a chisel in there to spread it out, and then clamp on with some vice grips and turn them, rolling the sleeve onto the pliers and pulling out at the same time

that would work but im alittle nervous doing that because i thought you werent supposed to damage the surface where the bushing sits.

well i got them out. Now for the install.

Where am i greasing ? Im using factory replacement bushings. Am i greasing the sleeve where it touches the LCA or do i just grease the bushing around the outside that would touch the subframe? (I guess the reason would be for longevity in that case)

jack the car up by the lower control arm like when you load it to tighten suspension parts

and then you just barely loosen the bolt and then TQ it back down
