What a joke.

You can have a 4-point roll bar (which actually serves a legitimate purpose) for $40 more. The roll bar won't net you as many car-show points though.

I like how the bolts aren't even long enough to engage the nylon in the nuts. And who would want to use an Allen cap screw over a hex-head flange bolt? The bars are awfully stout (read: heavy) for having such crap mounting hardware . . .

At least it's got the all-important "JDM" label in the description.

thats actually not a bad price at all if you get everything you see. i paid 200 for the TDM one and its just the X-bar. oh and my works with seats. doesnt look like this one has the bends.

my favorite bar is the one that bends from the c-pillar to the shock tower.

If they were smart enough to mount each bar with two bolts then the bars could support bending loads which would make them a lot more useful. But the way they mounted, the weak point is in the mounting bolts making the stiffness of all that stainless steel tubing virtually worthless.

Unfortunately, the structure is only working under tension/compression which helps stiffen the chassis a little bit (although it would've been much more cost effective to do it in smaller aluminum tubing), and if you're going to pay that much for stainless tubes I would much rather have them welded to the chassis directly.

Yeah, this one renders the rear seat unusable by eliminating the seat belts, so I can't imagine why one wouldn't just forego the hardparking, buy a bolt-in roll bar, and be done with it.

So your saying that a bolt in roll bar is just as useless as this x bar?

sept a bolt in roll bar has a good chance of saving your head. This has a good chance of fracturing at the joints and javolin'ing (sp?) toward you.
