I had a talk with a friend who says an eg si is a dual cam b16. But i recently spoke to others who said its a single cam. I also saw a si with a single cam vtec. But my friend keep sayin its a b16 dual cam. Which is correct?

 

its a single cam vtec but not sure its a d16z6, probably not sure.

 

Yup the first car to get dohc vtec was the del sol in 1994. but the Civic Si's all had sohc vtec.

1992-1995 = d16z6
1996-1999= d16y8

 

SOHC VTEC. but mine had a B16A3, out of a 97 Del Sol :D

 

all si 92-95 are sohc vtec in usa. japan is dohc.

 

The 92-95 Si came equipped with the D16Z6 SOHC VTEC, but who's to say his car isn't swapped? Or did he say his car came from the factory with it's B16? The latter would be

If you're talking about USDM Civics, then you're correct. Otherwise, don't forget about the NSX and Integra GSR
