Im going to make some carbonfiber over lay for my hatch im trying to figure out wether i can just pull out the little weather strip that holds the window in. Do i have to replace that part brand new or no?

You do realize with an overlay the hatch will appear to sit higher than the rest of the car? Your window will also appear to be sunk in further.

Yes you need to replace that. It is usually sealed in and can rip when pulling out. You're in for a headache though, you will be much better off buying a carbon fiber hatch.
