does any body know what the specs are for setting ignition timing on a 91 teg B18A 5 speed?
I attemped to take a look with a timing light but couldnt find the marks.
I looked around the crank pulley, and didn't see any, and there isnt a window to the flywheel like my accord.
i had the inductor on the cylinder closest to the distributor, couldnt see the marks, because i'm pretty sure that is #1 cylinder, but i couldnt remember to i switched it to the cylinder closest to the crank pulley and still didnt see any marks.
i'm pretty sure the timing was too advanced because i was hearing a little spark knock.
I ended up making a mark on the dizzy with a sharpie so i could set it back to where it was if neccessary. Then i jumped the connecter to the ECU. I retarted it about 5mm. unplugged the connector and took it for a test drive. It pulled way harder, i got second pretty good!
But I would like to know that its perfect.
Any body know if there is anytricks to see the marks, like removing something maybe?
I need a little help. any advice much appreciated.
