Default Not a great day at the autox...

Well, my car survived its second autocross, sorta. Did four runs, which were godawful slow. I know I'm a noob but even the rookie stunnas in their riced out integras and preludes were kicking my ***

Had an instructor ridealong for what turned out to be my last run, he told me I was too much on the brakes but otherwise doing ok. I was going to put his advice to use but my master cylinder started giving out

I wish I could remember what brand sunblock I used because it's worthless. I won't be shaving for a few days....

I had a master cylinder die while doing practice starts at a Pro Solo. Joy of joys. The following year at the same event, the ignitor let go and I had to be towed home.

Oh, about the sunblock...I think they all get rubbed off your face when you put your helmet on and off.

i use Bullfrog (the clear one). try to put it on before you leave the house so it can dry. i can surf for 4 or 5 hours with it on, and i used it with great success at my last autox.

No, I drove the green Integra with the American flag magnet on the tailgate (# 625). Were you at the FCSCC event in Waterbury?

I will try Bullfrog next time, but I've never had a problem with the helmet wiping off sunblock before this

I hated that! My quickest run was in first gear only but I was screaming near redline the whole time. When I ran with the instructor he made me put it in second almost immediately and leave it there, even though I was bogging heavily at the slowest corners. I had to fight the urge to downshift the whole time.

The instructer's coaching was basically yelling "Don't touch that shifter!" At every other corner
