Default helpp, fuel pump problem!

i have a 91 dx with a b18a swap and my fuel pump doesn't pick up fuel when theres about a 1/4 tank. the engine "runs out of gas" sputters and dies sometimes but only when Im around 1/4 tank. is there anyway the fuel pump can not be sitting right to not receive fuel when its low?

thanks

i just finished my swap and I'm having the same problem I add a gallon of gas and it ran fine then started to act up so added another gallon of gas and I'm sitting at the qaurter tank mark right now and it's running good I'm gonna look more into it and I'll post up what I find. What cluster are you running and do you know how much gas is in your tank could maybe be a bad calubrated cluster or something.

You guys should check to see if the fuel strainer "sock" is still attached to the pump inside the gas tank........good luck

This. Or it's in the right position but clogged up with gunk and/or rust. The only real solution is to order a new sock, drop the tank, inspect and replace if necessary.
